Dean RobsonJapanese-English Translator, Writer and EditorRaised in coastal Australia, Dean has been living in Japan since 1987. After teaching at a Japanese high school for two years, then three years as a graduate student of comparative culture at Sophia (Jochi) University in Tokyo, Dean cut his teeth in the field of Japanese-English translation under the tutelage of some of the industry's most respected writers, translators and editors. In a job that involves mediating between very different linguistic and cultural spheres, Dean's talent for finding the right terms of interface has won him many long-standing clients both within Japan and abroad. In 1997 Dean won the Prize for Excellence at the International Translation Competition of the Izu Literary Festival. |

In order to improve his career skills and study innovative, international approaches to Web business development, he moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2003 and enrolled at the Bodwell Internet School. Soon after achieving exceptional results at Bodwell, Daisaku was hired as senior web programmer at Resourcecode Media, and has been involved with the development of various projects and systems using PHP, Action Script, JavaScript programming, as well as taking the team lead with CSS/XHTML layout coding.
