Jade Michael Carter

Graphic Designer, Translator, and Art Director

Presently based in Vancouver, Canada, Jade Carter has been at the leading edge of new media design and planning since the early days of Japan's Internet boom, heading up numerous multimedia projects for major Japanese corporations. With extensive business experience and an array of talents (translation, interpreting, bilingual narration) complementing his gift for stunning innovation as a designer, in recent years Jade has focused on producing multilingual promotional media content for Japanese musicians and artists. Creator of a number of web sites that have been chosen as Site of the Day at Yahoo.com, Britannica.com, and Macromedia.com, as well as winner of Best Web Film award at the Cannes Film Festival International Critics' Week, Jade is the founder and driving force of Resourcecode Media Inc.

Jade has given lectures on Web design in Japan and Canada on numerous occasions, including a presentation during the opening week of the Apple Store in Ginza, Tokyo, in December 2003.

Dean Robson

Japanese-English Translator, Writer and Editor

Raised in coastal Australia, Dean has been living in Japan since 1987. After teaching at a Japanese high school for two years, then three years as a graduate student of comparative culture at Sophia (Jochi) University in Tokyo, Dean cut his teeth in the field of Japanese-English translation under the tutelage of some of the industry's most respected writers, translators and editors. In a job that involves mediating between very different linguistic and cultural spheres, Dean's talent for finding the right terms of interface has won him many long-standing clients both within Japan and abroad. In 1997 Dean won the Prize for Excellence at the International Translation Competition of the Izu Literary Festival.

Brett Pointer

Information Management Systems Developer and Technical Writer

After a rural upbringing in Australia and a degree in surveying (civil engineering) at University of Melbourne (1990), Brett lived in Nagoya, Japan from 1991 to 2004. Building on subsequent experience in writing, translating, and editing technical documents for major Japanese producers of software, electronics, and machinery, Brett found his true calling as a developer of information management systems and Web applications. With a penetrating eye for discerning simple paths through complex problems, Brett has created various customized, labor-saving solutions - from information management tools to Web-based data processing and navigation applications for a clientele that reads like a who's who of the Japanese manufacturing and electronics industries. Brett is currently based on Australia's Sunshine Coast, with the bulk of his work still sourced from Japan.

Daisaku Nakada

Programming Developer

After studying animation at Tokyo's renowned Toei Animation Institute, Daisaku worked for a major Japanese animation production company, where he was responsible for creating content for Internet and mobile phone project development. In order to improve his career skills and study innovative, international approaches to Web business development, he moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2003 and enrolled at the Bodwell Internet School.

Soon after achieving exceptional results at Bodwell, Daisaku was hired as senior web programmer at Resourcecode Media, and has been involved with the development of various projects and systems using PHP, Action Script, JavaScript programming, as well as taking the team lead with CSS/XHTML layout coding. Rather than utilizing generic CMS applications, Daisaku specializes in creating simple-yet-robust custom Content Management solutions that are best suited to each client's needs and budget.

Taka Mineta

Site Maintenance Manager

Originally from Yokohama, Japan, Taka is currently based in rural Quebec, Canada, where he is working on adding French fluency to his list of abilities. Much of his education was in the United States, where he earned his degree in business at Central Washington University, Ellensburg, WA, as well as a certificate in Animation & Graphics at Bellevue Community College.

Years of experience as a web developer/administrator and quality assurance specialist in the multimedia industry have given Taka the ability to clearly identify client needs and provide the speediest, simplest solutions to website issues and enhancements. His patience, devotion, willingness to work with clients, and ability to always go the extra mile to find a satisfactory solution make him well-suited to his primary role at Resourcecode as Site Maintenance Manager.

Jason Paul Revelle

Japan Business Liaison and Project Manager, Writer and Editor

Jason Revelle has spent the last 13 years forging a strong career in journalism and international business communications. After building a nationally recognized name within the sphere of Canada's action sports industry through exclusive publication in Canada's leading action sports magazines, Jason took his skills from Canada to Japan in 2002, endeavoring to help build the bridges of communication between the two countries he loves most. A long stint at Toyota Motor Corporation's overseas public relations division in Tokyo helped further launch his career, and now Jason splits his time between his Resourcecode duties and working as a freelance writer, editor, and journalist. His present/past editorial clients include: Honda Motor Corporation, Sony, Color Magazine, SBC Media, Tokyo Weekender magazine, the Japan External Trade Organization, Fuji Heavy Industries, Primedia Group, and a host of others. He is currently based in the historic city of Kamakura, Japan.
